Gemini on Android to Display Results Over Your Current App
For the last year or so, Google has been improving Gemini and it seems that the Android experience is getting better over time. Now, Gemini on Android is getting new upgrades which include responding in an overlay on top of your current app.
For now, Gemini on Android replaces the Google Assistant when activated. However, there are some downsides to this. When Gemini opens up results, it takes a full window instead of responding in an overlay like Google Assistant.
This will change now. According to a report from PiunikaWeb, Gemini for Android would now allow for responses to be available in an overlay.
Now, whenever you try to open Gemini, it will show you results by continuing to use Gemini over other apps. When you’re done with it, you can go back to what you were doing in the first place.
Apart from this, the new features for Gemini include the ability to upload any file. The Android version is currently limited to just photos, while the web version has had this feature for a while now.
For now, this feature is in active development. Android users can expect a more seamless experience of using Gemini on Android in the coming weeks or months.
